Gixkid talks about the Challenges the faces as upcoming Artist

Geofrey Bulus Wakili is professionally known as , is a Nigeria Singer and Songwriter.

He was born and brought up In the northern part of the Nigeria Kaduna state, he is a graduate of Kaduna State College of Education Gidan Waya.

Gixkid started music at a very young age (12 years) but never gotten the opportunity to record a track as of that time until around 2017, his first track was titled “Gudun Tsira” which featured one of the brightest upcoming star D_nice back then in College, he dropped two singles afterwards titled “That’s how we roll” and “life for a party”. Those song announced him in school but couldn’t bridge across because non of the song was promoted, and back then 80 % of his lyrics is written in Atyap, only 20 % got English. But later on he switched on to more elites of English lyrics and that helps him flow in afrobeat making.
currently his song which was released back in December 2021 is doing well so far, it has received numerous applauds from some of the biggest names in the music industry including “am not surprised with the way this guy sounds, I was broad up in kaduna too, I know how talented those guys are” said Skales.
Currently the song Better is at no.1 spot in SoundCity Radio FM Abuja for the past 4 weeks, and Gixkid was quote after achieving the feat “I want to say thank you SoundCity, thanks all my fans and a big thanks to my Team, y’all made this happen let’s go for the next I love y’all”.
He also spoke about the challenges the faces as upcoming artist in their locality whereby he talk about Parents not supporting and encouraging anything Entertainment.
He round up by saying that he has plans for his musical career but only God can decide his plans.
So we all are expecting new songs, new project from him sooner or later although he did not mention such in his recent interview with SoundCity radio station Abuja. We all wish him Good luck, we are hoping to see him next in Apex, in better shape.
